Gosh Mandy Buckland provided a great urban garden (complete with thin lines of living walls) at this year’s Hampton Court show. A compact contemporary garden that I could definitely live with. It was the first garden I saw and soon became my favourite.
The garden featured strawberries growing in the walls and along the table top. Up until last Sunday I could have sworn that this trend was being bypassed by garden designers – its usually furniture designers that have been merging plants with furniture of late - well I was wrong.
I should have asked about the plants under the table – does the dog end up sitting on them?
I think this garden would look great even with daily washing hung between the living walls.

Great idea, but will this work over the long run?
