These planters seemed like a great idea. We put them on the fence, planted them up and whoosh - all the water simply tips out - cascading not into the plant holder beneath - but straight down onto the patio.
The pockets simply hang out at too acute an angle to retain water unless it is drip fed into the pocket. We can't get enough water to stay in the pockets to support the growth of our strawberry plants.
They were a complete waste of money and I wouldn't recommend them as planters to anyone.
The service I received was second to none 10/10, I will certainly recomend you - Hertfordshire, UK - 09/06/2011

A florists friend!
Vertiplant should be called Verti-temp. Plants do not grow well long term BUT it is a useful plant container for temporary installations!
It is well made and looks neat - it is VERY useful for indoor/outdoor decoration. Just do not water if its indoors.
Made from heavy duty non-woven material with super tough webbing surrounds.
Planters can be fixed independently or together to create a square block or long vertical strip. Simply screw to the wall or fence through the stainless steel eyelets.
Supplied in packs of 2.
Black 30cm wide x 66cm high x 10cm deep.

'Good value for money. Easy to mount on the wall (no screws provided though) Could have done with some instructions on planting if you hadn't done a vertical before i.e. should you fill the pockets? how to stop earth spilling out when you water, recommended plants etc' 22/5/11 UK
'Strawberries have grown ok in them but everything else struggles and they are very difficult to water as soil runs out of the small pockets' 21/5/11 London UK
'the results speak for themselves... It is a little tricky to water without the water running out of the bags, but it's a minor issue' 21/5/11 Copenhagen, Denmark
'They look good, and exactly what I wanted for plants hanging on a small wall. Easily hung on wall with screws, and unlike other holder I have had in the past they do not rust!!' 21/5/11 Northhapton, UK
'they look good and are both decorative and useful' 21/5/11 Coventry, UK
