Junglfy your waiting room with some artificial greenery  - it has some great benefits!

This morning at Garden Beet, a doctor running a local practice visited our Preston showroom.

Thankfully he bought in some handy pictures.

Our designer immediately saw how the colourless space could be transformed by injecting some calming greenery into the room.

Heaps of scientific studies have shown that looking at nature - real or otherwise - has a positive impact on wellbeing. According to one study done by the University of Minnesota, even a simple plant in a room can have a significant impact on stress and anxiety.

The fancy word for this is "biophilia" (which means we humans just really dig looking at plants and being around nature in general).

So banish bland by including greenery in your business - your staff and clients will love you for it!

The plain walls and white shelving of the medical reception area provided the perfect canvas for a number of plant based solutions.

We suggested Garden Beet's fabulous Syngonium, (which we potted for him on the spot), to  cascade downwards from a top shelf and soften the reception area.

A lush Split Philo tree, measuring an impressive 2.1m, with its tall sculptural leaves, was also purchased to add interest to an otherwise dull corner without taking up too much floor space.

But what really floated the boat of this surgeon was our Delux Moss Green Wall. He loved the simplicity of the soothing, organic shapes.

Inspired by our own display, he plans to incorporate strip lighting and framing around a large moss piece.
